Car Of The Week – MINI GP

When I first set eyes on the new MINI GP above, I wasn’t really smitten. It was a soft launch with little information and an interior that you could not see and to be honest I was more taken with the original. Now though the car has started to filter onto the streets and I saw it again this weekend at RAF Cosford and this time round I was much more impressed. It has a presence there is no denying that and the rear diffuser definitely looks the business. Continue reading

Car Of The Week – MINI Paceman

This is a MINI Press release, but why I really wanted to run with it is because the Paceman looks gorgeous in the colours they have picked for it and this one is no exception. The Press release is below, but at the least drool over the photos!

Driving fun to the power of four: MINI continues to expand its all-wheel-drive range. Continue reading

CAR OF The Week – MINI Coupe JCW

Falling In Love With The JCW Coupe

We first saw the MINI Coupe when it was released as a concept car back in 2009 and it was an instant hit with us. The car became a reality in 2011 and in truth it was pretty close to the original concept and we first saw this in Liverpool when it was launched in October 2011. However, the car we saw was a Cooper S in red and to be frank we were less than smitten. The car looked gauche and gawky, it lacked balance and in truth we went off the car big time. Car Of The Week – CooperBeast

 CooperBeast Gets a New Driver!

“CooperBeast is an October 2002 build Mini Cooper in Chili red with a white roof, which we got from new at the start of November 2002.

He is a very special car to us as really the whole car enthusiasm and interest really kicked in when we got this car. MINI is more than just a car it is a whole way of life with a whole MINI scene attached.  In recognition of this and the special place this car has in our hearts it is our intention to never sell CooperBeast – truly he is family”. Car Of The Week – MINI Rocketman Concept

MINI have revamped their Rocketman Concept car as a tribute to the forthcoming Olympics held in Britain. The car looks as fantastic as the original Rocketman concept, yet the rumour mill says this car will never see the light of day. Too costly and too high a performance expectation from the public have been just two of many reasons cited, but here at Beastie Folly, we feel that this is the perfect next MINI. Not a replacement for the forthcoming F56 but an addition – the small MINI, you know the cute and sexy one. This car just looks so good that we have to dream that it will be a reality. Car Of The Week – The New MINI GP Launch At MINI Utd 2012

We were at MINI United for the launch of the new MINI GP, which arguably was the icing on top of the big fat MINI United cake. I wont  give you any in depth details on the car,  as what details there are are all over the internet anyway, instead I want to say a little on my personal impressions of the car and its launch. Car Of The Week – MINI Coupe JCW

Obviously here at Beastie HQ we are big MIN fans and this car gets our vote by a er… Country mile. We began by loving it when it was first shown as a concept then went quite cold to it by launch date to the point of being very negative towards it when we first saw it to now being totally sold on it. It really is a love it or loathe it car, not mant people will be neutral on this one but for us it is a winner. Now I must go and buy that lottery ticket for tonight!
