Car Of The Week – The BMW 2 Series Coupé

I haven’t been a fan of BMW in recent years, to me the sex appeal has been missing in the cars. Audi, Volkswagen and Mercedes have been looking busy doing “sexy” while BMW have been busy being German. The original 1 series Coupé was almost cute but  just a bit gauche but now they have made it a bit longer a bit wider, the front is all butch and dare I almost say “sexy” and “BMW” in the same sentence? This is looking like a damned fine car.

Car Of The Week – Classic Porsche

Porsche are celebrating 50 years of Porsche this year. Lady Peanut is a big Porsche fan so she has been enjoying the extra attention the media has focussed on Porsche this year. Last week she sniffed out a lovely video on the Porsche statue at Goodwood and today we bring you a lovely video from the wonderful Petrolicious gang. Watch it, enjoy it and dream.

I have liked the Paceman from the very first time I saw the Concept revealed back in December 2010, which I blogged on here. Next, I watched all the videos and press releases about it on line and was still impressed and now, having seen it for real it has not disappointed. I love it – simples! Continue reading

Car Of The Week – MINI GP

When I first set eyes on the new MINI GP above, I wasn’t really smitten. It was a soft launch with little information and an interior that you could not see and to be honest I was more taken with the original. Now though the car has started to filter onto the streets and I saw it again this weekend at RAF Cosford and this time round I was much more impressed. It has a presence there is no denying that and the rear diffuser definitely looks the business. Continue reading
