We have now had our MINI Coupe John Cooper Works – SilverBeast – for just over two weeks and the Honeymoon is continuing.
Yesterday we washed him for the first time. It was just a quick wash, rinse and dry down but it was a very rewarding experience. Washing the roof, running the sponge over its surface was a delightful tactile experience and the teardrop shape of the roof became very apparent while doing this. It really was fun and it served to reinforce the bonding process.
Then today we took it onto the Common at Castle Morton for a quick photo shoot followed by a walk. As we wandered the common, we kept looking back for a glimpse of SilverBeast and it was very exciting seeing him as part of an epic landscape. He really does have a presence and he looks purposeful, as if he was built for speed and fun. It was a good couple of hours on the Common.
I think we will go back in January, but to the Mill pond at Golden valley and take our gazebo and do mugs of tea and bacon butties hot off the stove. Think we will ask some other Coupes and Roadsters and MINIs to join us for a Sunday Morning bacon sarny in this glorious landscape overlooking the hills. This car makes you feel like that, you want to share the experience of it and talk about it with other like minded souls who just ” get it!”
